What we believe
Four principles we check every product decision against.
User-centred
We design from the employee's side first. If booking a desk on a phone at 8:40 is slow, no admin feature makes up for it. Every screen starts from what someone is trying to get done, in their words.
Inclusive and sustainable
Hybrid work has to work for parents, new joiners, people with disabilities and people who live far away — not just for whoever is in the room. And it should be honest about its footprint, so we show the carbon of every trip and commute with the factor behind it.
Open collaboration
We build with the people who use WorkOne every day: HR teams, office managers, travel desks. They shape the roadmap in working sessions, and we publish how our calculations work instead of hiding them behind a score.
Pragmatic technology
No sensors to install and no hardware to buy. Apps on the phones people already carry, QR stickers on desks, any tablet as a room display, and data you can export whenever you like. The simplest thing that reliably works wins.

From a shared spreadsheet to one app for every kind of workday.
2023
Three spreadsheets and an inbox
Two of us were running workplace and travel operations for a growing consulting firm. Desks lived in one spreadsheet, remote days in another, trips in an inbox. Nobody could answer the simplest question: who's in on Thursday?
Early 2024
A pilot with one team
We built a floor plan and a remote-day request form in the evenings and tried them with a single team. The first lesson surprised us: people cared less about booking a desk than about knowing who would sit next to it.
Late 2024
Travel joins the week
Working alongside a travel desk, we added trip requests with per diem, visa rules and a live estimate — and treated a trip as one more way to work, on the same calendar as the office and home days.
2025
Counting carbon honestly
ESG teams asked for figures they could audit. We built the carbon ledger on published ADEME and DESNZ factors and put the factor next to every number, including the caveats we can't yet quantify.
2026
One app for every workday
Visitors, workplace requests and analytics joined, native apps for iPhone and Android arrived alongside the web app, and the product took its name: WorkOne.
